Community Guidelines

Overview:

Unreal is a safe place where you escape the morons and the bullies of the real world, so please keep that in mind with all your interactions with players. Act respectfully--don’t harass, intimidate, be rude, or lewd. And if you see behavior like that, please report it to us. We will do everything we can to keep Unreal a fun, creative community for everyone (who isn’t a jerk).

Specifically:

Hate speech is not allowed on Unreal.

We define an attack as violent or dehumanizing speech, statements of inferiority, or calls for exclusion or segregation. We also don't allow for the hateful use of racial or misogynistic slurs.

We do not tolerate bullying or harassment on Unreal.

We want you, as a member of our community, to feel safe and respected so you can engage and connect with others. Shaming others or telling them to kill themselves (including text speak “KYS”) is not tolerated.

Keep it clean!

Don't promote sexual misconduct or abuse of any kind. Additionally, we restrict the display of nudity or sexual activity because some people in our community may be sensitive to this type of content. We default to removing sexual imagery to prevent the sharing of non-consensual or underage content.

Don't post content that promotes, encourages, coordinates, or provides instructions for suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.

This includes asking others to help you harm yourself, or assisting others in engaging in self-harm or suicidal behavior themselves.

Don't promote illegal activity.

We prohibit people from promoting or publicizing violent crime, theft or fraud. We don't want to condone this activity or inspire copycat behavior. We also don't allow people to depict criminal activity or admit to crimes they or their associates have committed. We do, however, allow people to debate or advocate for the legality of criminal activities, as well as address them in a rhetorical or satirical way.

Swatting and other forms of coordinating harm is not allowed.

We do not allow threats of harm on Unreal. You may lose access to certain content features if you threaten members of the Unreal community.

Posting personal information about others without their consent (AKA “doxxing”) is not allowed.

Privacy and the protection of personal information are fundamentally important values for Unreal. We work hard to keep your account secure and safeguard your personal information in order to protect you from potential physical or financial harm.

Use an appropriate user name, profile picture, and names for any objects you create.

If your content is reported and violates our Community Standards, it will be removed.

Respect intellectual property.

Before sharing content on Unreal, please be sure you have the right to do so. We ask that you respect other people’s copyrights, trademarks, and other legal rights. We are committed to helping people and organizations promote and protect their intellectual property rights.

Here are a few examples of conduct that is not ok:

Derogatory or insensitive jokes, pranks, or comments
Slurs or epithets
Unwelcome sexual advances or invitations
Leering or offensive gestures, or unwelcome touching
Ridiculing or demeaning comments
Harassing photography or recording
Heckling, or disrupting speakers
Displaying or sharing images that are derogatory or sexually-oriented
Making offensive comments about people's bodies or appearance

This is not a full list of unacceptable conduct. Use your best judgment, and be respectful.
